Coming Across Salesforce
Talia’s journey into the Salesforce ecosystem traces back to a pivotal moment of inspiration:
“We go way back to the beginning of my journey in the Salesforce ecosystem… It started with listening to a Financial Independence podcast, and on that podcast, Bradley Rice was interviewed, and he was talking about his lifestyle, where he was able to work part-time at home”.
At the time, the idea of working remotely to maintain a healthy balance between family life and financial stability resonated deeply with her. When the pandemic hit and her photo booth business came to a halt, she found herself at home with free time and a new sense of urgency.
She pursued Salesforce certifications through programs like Supermums and Talent Stacker. Her curiosity and persistence opened doors, allowing her to carve out a career that combines flexibility, creativity, and community.
In her free time, Talia is constantly expanding her knowledge, connecting with Salesforce professionals through LinkedIn, Trailblazer User Groups, and career development programs.
A Day in a Life
Talia describes herself as an independent Salesforce UX Designer and corporate Workshop Facilitator, roles that allow her to blend creativity and compassion in unique ways.
“As a UX designer, my deep love for people allows me to design better experiences. As a facilitator, I help teams work better together.”
Her days are never the same. One day she might be facilitating a strategic workshop, and the next she’s supporting self-directed learning initiatives at a creative learning space she helped establish for young learners.
Community Leadership and Building Relationships
As a co-leader of the Salesforce Trailblazer User Group in Florida, Talia has further expanded her reach, hosting hybrid events that welcome participants both locally and from across the globe. Through this role, she’s been able to practice leadership, public speaking, and innovative event planning, all while building authentic, lasting relationships within the community.
For Talia, relationships are a superpower. Whether it’s facilitating workshops, hosting events, or connecting with her growing audience on LinkedIn and beyond, her approach is grounded in sincerity, curiosity, and a genuine love for people.
Lessons in Resilience and Growth
One of the biggest challenges Talia faced was stepping back into the professional world after years of focusing on raising her family and pursuing creative personal projects.
Rather than trying to “fit in,” she realized her different perspective was her greatest strength, bringing fresh energy to clients stuck in outdated ways of working.
Her advice to others in the Salesforce ecosystem?
- Stay curious and adopt a beginner’s mindset.
- Build your network and don’t hesitate to ask for help.
- Embrace continuous learning because the ecosystem is always evolving.
Talia deeply embraces the idea of staying curious and open to learning. She draws inspiration from Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, referencing his approach to business through a beginner’s mindset, also known as shoshin in Japanese.
“Who’s the best beginner we know? A child, right? They’re the number one beginner. They learn things so quickly because they don’t have what we adults have — the fear of looking stupid or making mistakes.”
This approach helps her navigate challenges with openness and resilience, helping both her personal growth and her work within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Life Beyond Salesforce
Outside of work, Talia enjoys traveling, making music, and advocating for self-directed education. Whether exploring different cultures or playing her ukulele to unwind, she embraces creativity and growth in every part of her life.
Talia’s story is a true testament to the power of community, creativity, and resilience. We’re proud to spotlight her journey and the energy she brings to the Salesforce ecosystem and beyond.
